Women make up only just around 15% of UK consultant surgeons today, but that story is rapidly changing—and the WINS Conference puts you right at the heart of the shift.

Building on its legacy as a two-time Event of the Year winner (National Societies & Volunteering Awards 2019 & UCL Annual Awards 2022), our flagship conference proudly returns for its 8th edition, hosted by the UCL Women in Surgery (division of UCL Surgical Society).

Our mission is to empower female medical students to pursue surgical careers while driving greater equity and diversity across the profession. Through engaging talks, hands-on workshops, and direct networking with top surgeons and trainees, students will receive invaluable guidance, forge early mentorships while gaining practical skills, and step forward with the confidence that a surgical career is entirely within their grasp.

While aimed primarily at medical students, we welcome trainees, doctors, and surgeons at every stage of their surgical journey.
