BAOMS Members and OMFS Trainees are invited to upcoming FlexFacs E-session 22: KEYNOTE-689: Neoadjuvant and Adjuvant Pembrolizumab in Locally Advanced Resectable Head and Neck Cancer by Professor Ravindra Uppaluri MD/PhD, FACS, Professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, Harvard Medical School / Dana-Farber Cancer Institute / Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston.
We are honoured to welcome Professor Uppaluri, first author of the landmark KEYNOTE-689 trial, for what promises to be an excellent and highly relevant session on perioperative immunotherapy in locally advanced resectable head and neck cancer. This session will be of particular interest to OMFS, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Medical Oncology, Clinical Oncology, Radiology, Pathology, CNS colleagues, AHPs and trainees involved in head and neck cancer care.
At a time when Head & Neck MDTs across the country are considering how best to implement pembrolizumab into treatment pathways, this is a particularly timely session. KEYNOTE-689 represents the first major change in the standard of care for resectable locally advanced head and neck cancer in over two decades.
