Oral and maxillofacial surgeon (OMFS), and soon to be an ST7 in OMFS at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust, Daniel van Gijn has just finished writing the new Oxford Handbook of Head and Neck Anatomy. He says the handbook is due for publication at the beginning of January 2022.
“The handbook is primarily aimed at medical and dental students, ENT, plastic and OMFS surgeons/trainees, radiologists and anaesthetists,” he explains. “The handbook certainly has a broad readership, but importantly will highlight OMFS and showcase our expertise in head and neck.”
The Oxford Handbook of Head and Neck Anatomy is a comprehensive quick reference guide with over 400 illustrations. It tackles the three-dimensional anatomy of the head and neck, and has been written and illustrated to link the anatomy on the page with real day-to-day clinical practice.
Professor of OMFS Kathy Fan adds: “Congratulations on such excellent work.”
