The Rokadiya Seminar Room in Nepal
06 November 2025 (Last updated: 6 Nov 2025 15:29)
Suhail Rokadiya fell to his death in a tragic mountaineering accident in Glencoe; Stob Coire nam Beith in September 2018. Suhail had been an enthusiastic member of a past NRIEF expedition to Nepal. All those involved with the NRIEF were shocked by his passing.
In his memory BAOMS and NRIEF led a campaign to raise donations to specifically create an educational resource in Nepal in Suhail’s name. After years of hard work led by Sean Laverick, we are happy to report that we have finally reached this goal.
Please see the thank you message from Professor Dr. Mehul Jaisani Bohara, Department of OMFS.

“On behalf of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation toward the development of our new seminar room and library in memory of British Surgeon Friend DR. SUHAIL ROKADIYA.
It's been an honor and privilege for our department and the Institute to be associated with the prestigious BAOMS.
Your support plays a crucial role in supporting our department's Faculty members and the surgical trainees like Dr. Suhail to broaden their academic horizon. This new facility will not only enrich the educational experience for current trainees but will also serve as a lasting resource for generations to come. Moreover, this the seminar room will always remind us of our friend Suhail and we will feel connected with him and the BAOMS.
We cannot thank Mr. Sean Laverick enough. He has been very instrumental in making this possible.
Thank you once again for the generosity and support.”
