The purpose of the PCCTFs is not to provide training for its own sake, but rather to train a surgeon in an area of need for a consultant post, we would hope to see clear support from the applicant’s employer. Ideally this support should not just be in principle but rather practical financial terms for example a paid sabbatical. Although our initial model is for full time fellowships, consideration would be given for part-time PCCTF training.
As a trainee are you interested in these PCCTFs?
If so, please assemble a ‘case of need document’ using this application template. Contact the BAOMS Chair for help or advice.
As a training unit, could you offer a Post CCT Fellowship?
If you have any opportunities for training which you might offer to a post CCT trainee or consultant colleague, please use the documentation below. If there any funding available locally, be sure to emphasis this? It is expected that these post CCT Fellowship posts, like all training, will be a blend of training and service.
