Description: This is a full day course focusing on the principles of fracture fixation of the maxillofacial skeleton. It is a mixed day of lectures and hands on workshops. DePuy Synthes have kindly agreed to provide the dry bones and plating kits for the workshops.
Course aims and objectives:
• For DCTs to learn the principles of fracture fixation of the maxillofacial skeleton
• To allow DCTs to get some hands on experience fixing fractured mandibles and zygomas
• Treatment planning and management options re: facial fractures
• To have some case based discussions re: past trauma cases
