Training Interface Group (TIG) Fellowship Workshop
This one-day workshop sponsored by the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons is for OMFS Specialty Registrars who are considering advanced special interest training in one of the TIG Fellowship programmes (Head and Neck Surgical Oncology/Cleft Lip and Palate/Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery).
Aims of the Workshop
• Experts from each of the three fellowship areas with considerable specialist knowledge and experience in their chosen field will provide detailed information of the scope and nature of their sub-specialty area
• Provide essential guidance and insight into these challenging and rewarding career pathways
• Why you should consider a Fellowship post and how to prepare and maximise your chances of obtaining a fellowship post.
• The workshop will include lectures, small group discussions, interview techniques, portfolio development, requirements and details of the appointment process.
Who/Where/When
Specialty Registrars (StRs 3-7) in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Martin Wing, Leeds General Infirmary, Leeds. The hospital is a 10 minute walk from the train station.
Friday 14th September 2018
Registration to attend the workshop is FREE for StRs who are current members of BAOMS. Refreshments during the day are provided.
