We are delighted to invite you to attend the fourth Glasgow Oral Surgery Symposium. This event will be delivered as a hybrid Conference, welcoming face to face and online delegates, with the programme offering up to 6 CPDA credits.
This symposium is themed on “maxillary sinus and Oral Surgery”. We have gathered 7 speakers who will present lectures to improve the understanding of the maxillary sinus for early diagnosis of diseases, preventing and managing of complications and rehabilitation of the upper jaw.
Lectures will cover:
- Importance of understanding surgical anatomy to improve the surgical outcomes.
- Radiological interpretation including the use of advanced imaging such as CBCT/CT/MRI
- Early diagnosis of the diseases ranging from benign to malignant
- Clinical and radiological markers to prevent complications.
- To manage the complications following oral surgical procedures
- Maxillary sinus augmentation with sinus lifts and lateral ridge augmentation
- Zygomatic implants
Diseases of both odontogenic and maxillary sinus mis-represent the clinical findings resulting in delay in the diagnosis and management. Understanding the anatomy is important to prevent complications and manage complications. The aim of the day is to improve the understanding of the maxillary sinus amongst clinicians to choose the appropriate treatment option and subsequent follow-up.
Poster Competition
We are now inviting abstracts for this year’s poster competition. The top 2 submissions will be selected to give a short oral presentation during the Conference and all other accepted abstracts will be displayed on a digital showcase throughout the event.
