SAS Representation on BAOMS
Associate Fellows' representatives: Karen Bennett and Helen Spencer (co'opted) The Associate Fellows' category provides those working permanently and predominantly in Oral Surgery & Surgical Dentistry with a unifying sub-group within BAOMS. Associate Fellows are able to elect 2 representatives to BAOMS council. Both Associate Fellows have voting rights and we would therefore encourage as many SAS Grades as possible to become Associate Fellows and take part in the elections, so that they are not disenfranchised. Through the development of the Associate Fellows' membership category, we are hoping that SAS grades will begin to take a more meaningful role in the discussions and business of BAOMS and also allow more coherent liaison with other professional bodies and Associations concerned with SAS issues.
